About Me
Born and bred in Liverpool, with a lifelong love of The Beatles and my city.
Hi, I’m Steve, a proud Scouser, lifelong Liverpool FC supporter and your local Beatles taxi tour guide.
Born in 1968, I’ve been a taxi driver in Liverpool since 1997 and a Beatles tour guide since June 2022. After gaining experience and discovering just how much I loved sharing Liverpool’s incredible Beatles history, I decided to go independent and launch my own tours, giving visitors a more personal and relaxed experience of this amazing city.
My connection to The Beatles goes back to my roots. I grew up in Speke, the same area of Liverpool where Paul McCartney and George Harrison spent part of their childhoods. I still live just a short walk from 20 Forthlin Road, Paul’s childhood home, and only about a mile from Mendips, where John Lennon grew up.
Music and football have always been a huge part of my life. I’m a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter and have been a season ticket holder at Anfield since 1992. I’ve also been lucky enough to see Paul McCartney perform twice: first at Anfield in 2008 and again in Manchester in December 2024. Both were unforgettable experiences.
My favourite Beatles song has to be Penny Lane. Having lived in the Penny Lane area for the past 20 years, the song has a special meaning for me. I can relate to the places and characters mentioned in the lyrics, and living so close to one of the most famous streets in Beatles history makes it even more special.
There’s also a little family connection between me and The Beatles, linked to a fascinating part of their early history. I’ll keep that as a little surprise for those who join me on a tour!
For me, being a Beatles taxi tour guide isn’t just about visiting famous locations and telling stories. It’s about sharing the history, memories and hidden gems of my hometown, bringing the stories of The Beatles to life through the eyes of someone who was born and raised here.
So, come along for the ride. Let’s explore Liverpool, share a few stories and make some fantastic memories along the way.
